Some Reasons Victims Drop Restraining Orders
Why is it that so often, a victim who has a temporary restraining order, days before the Permanent Restraining Order Hearing, dismisses their case? Dismissals are common, despite the amount of domestic violence that may be involved, and research shows some common factors. Here are the most common reasons victims drop their restraining order:

2. Children
Kids miss their parents, and parents miss their kids. There is a constant pressure for a parent to return to being a "family."
